Case Study 98
Tony is delivering a crane from Carlisle to Felixstowe docks. It will be used to unload shipping containers when they arrive in the port. The crane is large and gives Tony’s vehicle an overall vehicle height of 5.30 metres and a width of 3.0 metres.
Although large, the crane is not particularly heavy at only 12,000kg, which is well below the maximum payload for his vehicle.
Tony has been delayed so he decides to take the first part of a split daily rest before setting off on his journey
