Case Study 84

Arthur works in England and has been employed by the same company for over 20 years. Halfway through his working week, he is told he will be driving a new vehicle that is less than a year old. The company have finally upgraded his 2005 truck which he is delighted about.

Now Arthur must adapt to the new vehicle. He is struggling with the tachograph, which he had never used before, as the old truck had an analogue tachograph unit.

Arthur collects potatoes in bulk from a farm and then drives on a single carriage road, taking them directly to the processing factory.

He drives a rigid truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26 tonnes.
