Case Study 129

Andrew is driving a 12 tonne rigid lorry for a general haulage firm delivering pallets to different destinations throughout the UK. It’s the middle of January, and the temperature is -3c with ice on the roads.

Andrew starts his shift at 9 am and stops at a service station at 12:00 pm for a 30 minute rest and to buy a drink.   On his way back to the depot, he is involved in an accident.

Andrew finishes work at 14:30 pm
