Case Study 129

Andrew is driving a 12 tonne rigid lorry for a general haulage firm. He delivers pallets to different destinations in London. It’s the middle of January, and the temperature is -3c with ice on the roads.

He starts his shift at 09:00 am and stops at a service station at 12:00 pm for a 30 minute rest and buys a drink. On his way back to the depot, he is involved in an accident.

Andrew finishes work at 14:30 pm
