Case Study 12

Natasha drives a 44 tonne articulated lorry for a general haulage firm delivering pallets to various destinations around the country.

It is the middle of November; it has been raining heavily for most of the night and it has continued to rain throughout the day.

Natasha starts her shift at 10 am and stops in a lay-by at 12 pm for a 15-minute break and to buy a drink from a burger van.

At 8 pm, on her way back to the depot, she is involved in a collision with another LGV.
