Case Study 118

Alistair works in the warehouse for a glazing firm. Occasionally, he makes deliveries in its large goods vehicle.

It’s a curtain-sided rigid truck with a maximum permissible weight of 18,500kg.

He starts work in the warehouse at 06:00 am and finished at 14:00 pm. Today is Thursday, and it’s the first time he has been asked to make deliveries this week. He will take the lorry out at 10:00 am and return by 11:30 am, where he will then return to his warehouse duties.

Alistair recently crashed the company lorry at a set of traffic lights, and his boss reminds him to check his mirrors regularly.

The glazing firm holds a restricted operators licence.
