Case Study 74
Chin drives a rigid curtainsider with a payload of 12 tonnes delivering pallets of pet food to stores in England. His pallets are loaded onto his vehicle by the warehouse staff and he handballs them off via the side of the lorry. As a result of this manual labour Chin is currently taking pain killers to solve his aching back problem.
This is his first day back driving after a two week holiday and he’s not been looking forward to it.
Today he has a long drive from London to Manchester. He leaves the depot at 8 am and he takes a 15 minute break at 10 am before continuing on his journey.
