BOOK THE THEORY TESTS” You can book the theory tests as soon as you have your provisional licence.

The test is made up of three parts – multiple choice, hazard perception and the case studies test . You have to book all three parts separately, but you can take them on the same day.  It doesn’t matter which one you take first.

What is the cost?

  • Multiple-choice theory module 1a –  £26
  • Hazard perception module 1b – £11
  • Module 2 case studies test – £23

Top Tip!

Take the part 2 case studies test at the same time as the theory and hazard perception.  Doing this will mean you can get your driver CPC as soon as you’ve passed the practical.

You can then start work straight away! You must take one of the following:

  • a Great Britain photocard driving licence
  • a Northern Ireland photocard driving licence and paper counterpart
  • an EU photocard driving licence (and paper counterpart, if you have one)

If you don’t have a photocard driving licence, take your paper licence and a valid passport.

You must pass the part 1a multiple-choice theory and part 1b hazard perception test before you can start your practical training
